BWI Terminal Baltimore Airport

Baltimore–Washington International Airport (BWI) is the main gateway to Baltimore in Maryland and one of the three major international airports serving Washington D.C.

Baltimore Airport (BWI) has a single passenger terminal with five Concourses: A, B, C, D and E. It handles both international and domestic flights.

BWI Terminal has a horseshoe shape, which has the parking and transportation facilities in its core.

Levels

Baltimore Airport Main Terminal building has two levels:

Lower Level

This is the Arrivals and the Baggage Claim Area.

Find ground transportation options: Light Rail, Limousine, Parking Shuttle/Amtrak-MARC, Public Transit Regional Bus/MTA, Supreme Airport Shuttle, Taxi Stand and Car Rental Shuttle.

There is also a USO Lounge close to the baggage claim 13-14.

Upper Level

This is the departures and ticketing level.

There are the five concourses, A to E, boarding gates and other services as stores, restaurants, cafés, among others.

Concourses

Baltimore Airport Main Terminal hosts five concourses with boarding gates A to E:

Concourse A and B

Southwest Airlines is the largest airline in Concourse A and B.

It has 25 boarding gates: A1-A11 and B2-B15.

Note that concourse A is the one that has the widest offer on either, food, drink or retail of all concourses.

Find also concessions at the new Concourse B and C connector.

From the lower level of the Concourse, it is possible to access to all Concourse A and B boarding gates.

Concourse C

It has gates from C1 to C14, which are located on the upper level.

The airlines that operate in this concourse are Alaska Airlines, American and Southwest Airlines.

It is connected to Concourse A and B by a secure connector, the Concourse B and C connector.

Concourse D

It hosts boarding gates D1 to D29.

The airlines that operate at this concourse are Allegiant Air, Air Canada, Delta, JetBlue, Southern Airways, Spirit and United Airlines.

Concourse E - International Terminal

It has 5 gates: E1, E3, E4, E5, E6 and E8, and is located on the upper level.

It is the known as the International Terminal, where all international arrivals are handled, but officially its name is Governor William Donald Schaefer International Terminal.

The airlines that operate at the terminal are British Airways, Condor and WOW. British Airways has a Lounge in Concourse E.

Inter-terminal transportation

There is no need to take a shuttle between the Main Terminal and Concourses.

For arriving international passengers, from Concourse E, please proceed to take a shuttle to get to the Main Terminal.

The BWI Courtesy Shuttle is a free and high-frequency mean of transportation to move between different locations around BWI Airport.

See below all the available Courtesy Shuttles at BWI Airport:

- Parking Shuttle: Between the Main Terminal and the Long-Term A, B and the Daily Garage. Frequency: 8-10 minutes.
- Amtrak / MARC Shuttle: Between the Main Terminal and Amtrak/MARC Station. Frequency: 6-8 minutes.

- Consolidated Rental Car Facility Shuttle: To pick up and drop off rental cars, this shuttle travels between the Main Terminal to the Car Rental Facility. Frequency: 8-10 minutes.

Airport hotel

At BWI Airport there is an airside micro-hotel, Minute Suites, with small rooms which can be rented for hours or for overnight stays.

- After that: $10.50 for every 15 minutes
- 8 hours stay: $155.00

Lounges

BWI Airport has at their passengers’ disposal the following lounges:

USO Lounge: Lower level, beside baggage claim 14. Exclusively for military use and free of charge for members of US military and their families. Open daily from 06:00 am to 10:00 pm. Services: Wi-Fi, Showers, TV, Private rooms, Children’s area, Printers, Copiers, Telephones. Please note it is a non-smoking facility.

The Club at BWI: Airside, Concourse D, close to gate D10. Open daily from 05:00 am to 08:30 pm. Services: Snacks, Alcoholic drinks, Wi-Fi, Flight monitors, Newspapers, Magazines, TV, Internet terminals, Printers, Copiers and Telephones. Please note it is a non-smoking facility.

Fares: €37.00 per passenger.

Chesapeake Club Lounge: Upper level, towards the Pier Exit. Open daily from 06:00 pm to 09:00 pm. Services: Snacks, Alcoholic drinks, Wi-Fi, Flight monitors, Newspapers, Magazines, TV, Internet terminals, Printers, Copiers, Telephones. Please note it is a non-smoking facility.
